2022 Astral National Auditions

PHILADELPHIA, PA— Astral Artists is accepting applications for its 2022 National Auditions through March 18, 2022. Those who pass this preliminary round will be invited to Philadelphia in late May to audition live for an esteemed panel of leading musicians, conductors, agents, and industry leaders.

The Astral National Auditions are a 3-round process. Round 1 is an online application including a video statement and three audio recordings; Round 2 is the live audition in Philadelphia, and Round 3 is in-person interviews for finalists from Round 2.

Due to the challenges that performers are facing in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as in an effort to make the application process accessible to all aspiring candidates, there is no application fee to apply this season.

About the Astral National Auditions
Please note as of 2022 Astral’s National Auditions will operate on a two-year instrument rotation and there will be no piano or string auditions held this year. In 2022 auditions will be held for brass, woodwind, voice, percussion, and chamber ensembles (chamber ensembles must include at least one of the aforementioned instrument groups). Astral will hold auditions for piano, strings, and chamber ensembles (must include at least one pianist or string player) next season in 2023. Each year Astral auditions applicants for a spot on its esteemed program of approximately 25 musicians. National Auditions Winners receive customized career development mentorship, a full complement of marketing materials, superior performance opportunities, community partnerships experience, artistic exploration, and networking with top professionals in the field.
