Saetbyeol Kim has appeared as soloist in Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Italy’s Teatro Civico, Place Flagey in Brussels, Spain’s Petit Palau, and South Korea’s Mozart Hall. She debuted with the Pohang Philharmonic Orchestra at age 16, and made her U.S. debut in Amy Beach’s Piano Concerto with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also been soloist with the Dallas Chamber Symphony, Rapides Symphony Orchestra, and others. She took First Prize at the Dallas International and Rochester Philharmonic Concerto competitions, and received prizes from the Washington, Louisiana, San Antonio, and New Orleans international competitions, as well as the Glenn Gould Chamber Competition. She holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music and the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University, and currently studies at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music.
