Winner of an S&R Washington Foundation Award and Second Place winner of The American Prize, Brittany Lasch is principal trombone of Michigan Opera Theatre. A performer and educator, upcoming she appears at the International Women’s Brass Conference and the Midwest Trombone, Tuba, and Euphonium Conference. She has been concerto soloist with the Bucks County Symphony Orchestra and has performed with the Rhode Island Philharmonic, and the Bangor, Toledo, Vermont, and Albany symphonies, among others. The first-ever trombonist to win the U.S. Army Band’s National Collegiate Solo Competition, she has returned as soloist with its “Pershing’s Own” band, and was a guest for its American Trombone Workshop. She holds degrees from Boston University, the Yale School of Music, and the Manhattan School of Music, and is Assistant Professor of Trombone at Bowling Green State University.
