Jordan Dodson has received prizes from the Lillian Fuchs Chamber Music, Indiana International Guitar, and the American String Teachers Association competitions. He was a Young Artist in Residence on American Public Media’s Performance Today and has commissioned and premiered many new works. He performs in the New York City-based ensembles Ensemble Moto Perpetuo, ensemble sans maître, and Marcel, and has appeared in such venues as (Le) Poisson Rouge, Roulette, the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, and the Museo Nacional de Colombia. He recently debuted as concerto soloist with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra. One of two guitarists selected to inaugurate the Curtis Institute of Music’s classical guitar studio, he also holds degrees from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and the Manhattan School of Music.
