Jonathan Wintringham has given recitals, masterclasses, and residencies throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, England, and Japan. The first classical saxophonist featured on American Public Radio’s Performance Today: Young Artists in Residence, he has received awards from the Mahler Philharmonic Artists Auditions, and the MTNA National Young Artist, Chamber Music Yellow Springs, NASA Classical Solo, Yamaha YPA, and Tucson Symphony Orchestra competitions, among others. His debut CD Walimai has been broadcast internationally. He plays soprano saxophone in the award-winning East End Quartet, and earned a Master’s degree and Performer’s Certificate from the Eastman School of Music, where he pursues a Doctoral degree and is a teaching assistant and Assistant Director of the Eastman Saxophone Project (ESP). He also holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona.
