2019 S&R Washington Foundation Award winner, as well as 2017-2018 Second Place winner of The American Prize, Brittany Lasch is the newly appointed principal trombone of Michigan Opera Theatre. Upcoming, she solos with Bowling Green State University’s New Music Festival in the premiere of Michael Kennedy’s orchestrated version of Theme and Variations, is concerto soloist with the Bucks County Symphony Society in Launy Grøndahl’s Concerto, and gives a recital for the 2019 International Women’s Brass Conference. She has performed with the Rhode Island Philharmonic, Bangor Symphony Orchestra, Symphoria, the New World, Queens, Toledo, Vermont, Albany, and Springfield symphonies, and the U.S. Army Band “Pershing’s Own. She holds degrees from Boston University, the Yale School of Music, and the Manhattan School of Music, and currently serves as Instructor of Trombone at Bowling Green State University.
